About

A house that welcomes.

A neighbourhood hostel and restaurant in Belén, with simple rooms, a courtyard painted with hummingbirds and a door that says welcome in six languages.

White entrance wall with a wooden cable spool painted with the number 57 and a welcome sign in six languages.
The inner courtyard seen from upstairs: hanging plants, mural of two turquoise hummingbirds over the yellow wall, tables and a baby high chair.

In the hostel’s words

«Donde nuestros huéspedes pueden disfrutar de un ambiente tranquilo, confortable, limpio y seguro.»

— Hostal de la 57, on its earlier website (2022 archive(opens in a new tab)) — “Where our guests can enjoy a quiet, comfortable, clean and safe environment.”

“We talk English!”, that site also said.

Hostel, restaurant and meeting point.

The hostel offers lodging, a restaurant with breakfast and lunch, and scheduled events, as it described itself. It hosts people travelling Colombia — in July 2026, motorcycle travellers from Australia — and neighbours who come for lunch or to celebrate.

It’s in Belén, in the Palogrande area: near Universidad de Caldas, Universidad Nacional and Estadio Palogrande, plus banks, supermarkets, the Zona Rosa and shopping centres.

RNT 37914 — National Tourism Registry number, shown on the facade sign and on Booking.com.

About this page

This is a website proposal made by Peashoot. We only wrote what the hostel has published; the story of the house, the family and the team is left for the hostel to tell in its own words.
