A walk through the house

From the street to the courtyard, the terrace and the sunset.

Four stops, told with the photos the hostel itself has posted on Instagram.

Manizales turns pink and orange.

«Hermoso atardecer con vista desde el hostal, ayer martes.»

The city government says Manizales sunsets can be seen “from anywhere in the city, but especially from the Chipre neighbourhood”. At the hostel, the show starts behind the café windows.

This is a real photo from the hostel, not a forecast — every evening’s sky is different.

Platform reviews

What guests single out: the welcome and the location.

In their public reviews on Hostelworld and Booking.com, guests mostly mention the kindness of the people running the place and how well located it is for getting around Palogrande.

There are less glowing comments too: some rooms are small and the dorm uses shared bathrooms. We’d rather you knew before arriving.

All questions & house rules
Can I see rates and availability on this site?

No. There are no prices or live calendar here: you prepare an enquiry and the hostel replies by WhatsApp, phone or e-mail. To book instantly, the hostel is also on Booking.com and Hostelworld, under their own conditions.

Is breakfast included?

It depends on the rate. Booking.com offers breakfast at an extra charge and Hostelworld marks it “not included”; some reviews mention rates with breakfast. Ask when you enquire.

What are check-in and check-out times?

Check-in starts at 13:00: Booking.com says until 22:00 and Hostelworld until 23:00. Check-out is by 11:00. If you’ll arrive later, say so beforehand on WhatsApp.

Is there parking? What about motorbikes?

The hostel told Booking.com there is no parking. One guest mentioned there that a motorbike could be accommodated — if you ride, ask before arriving.

Is it in central Manizales?

No: it’s in Barrio Belén (Carrera 24A #57-63), in the Palogrande area, near Universidad de Caldas, Universidad Nacional and Estadio Palogrande. Hostelworld puts it about 3 km from the centre.

How is Manizales after the 10 August 2026 earthquake?

Some places in the centre and in Chipre remain closed — the Cathedral, the Chipre Tower and the Monument to the Colonizers — while the Cable Car, several parks and coffee farms are operating again. The guide marks each place’s status with its source and the date we checked. For questions about your arrival, ask the hostel.
